Race to the Polls!

Many of you have asked for endorsements for County Legislators for Election Day.

While NYSUT has not issued endorsements in county races, we are represented on our Area Labor Federation board who are supporting candidates who have supported public education and the rights of working people. One of the biggest issues this year was the sales tax grab orchestrated by the County Comptroller and rubber stamped by many of the legislators.  Local schools lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenues because of this move and the County is now showing a surplus.

Please share this information this information with friends.  You may want to print this email and take it with you to the polls as many are not as familiar with the county races as the general election cycles.
